Hello, there, my fellow foodie!
I’m so excited to post something today for you that isn’t a photoshoot! I have SO many in my queue to share with you–my heart wants to explode. But we’re going to kick off this dreary day with a super yummy and simple recipe for you to make for dinner tonight (especially if you’re Monday’s feeling a little too much like a Monday).
And personally, these days have been so sleepless, exhausting, and long, so I’m alllll about quick&easy. And it’s perfect for a casual date night, too, if you want to make something fun without spending 4 hours in the kitchen.
You can use ingredients you already have tucked away in your fridge, too! Nick hates mushrooms so it’s nice to be able to make something that I love for once ;D
Ingredients that I used:
-1 Naan flat bread
-Enough pizza sauce to cover naan (I don’t like things to be drenched–but you can add as much of as little as you like)
-Sliced mushrooms, sliced onions, sliced grape tomatoes, whole baby spinach
-Finely shredded mozzarella cheese & feta cheese (as much or as little as you like)
-Your favorite seasonings (I used a spicy Mrs. Dash one)
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Cover Naan with pizza sauce & add toppings
Cover with cheese & then with seasonings (optional)
Bake for about 9-10 minutes
About 20 minutes (prep & cook time)
I would eat Naan bread plain, I love it so much. So, I personally don’t like it super crunchy– I don’t let it bake until it gets to that point.
I keep the pizza closer to the top of the oven (we have a gas stove that heats well from the top down) so that the toppings will cook faster. I’m not 100% sure if that’s right but it seems to work for us :)
You can substitute almost whatever you want! I’ve used cooked chicken, peppers, black olives…you can add whatever you like! Like I said, it’s so easy and quick, I almost feel silly posting this today, haha.
If you make this, come back and post a picture so I can see your creation! :D
Hope your Monday is perfection! <3
