Roughly 7 years ago, Courtney & Trey fell in love. While attending Chicago State University (specifically: KILLING it in basketball), they met through Courtney’s roommate, who happened to be one of Trey’s highschool classmates.
Trey wasn’t sure if he’d get the opportunity to actually know her—(he noticed that bombshell beautyqueen right away!)–let alone date her. But as you can tell, that’s not how the story ends ;)
To Trey, Courtney was different. Because of her kindness & gracefulness, he could relax with her. He could let his walls down, and he did. And to Courtney, it was the same. She loved his relaxed & calm composure, and knew he was different from any other man she’d met.
Even their first date is packed with sweetness. They’d gone to see a scary movie, and 10 minutes in, Courtney had an anxiety attack. She’d told Trey that she’d return, but after a few minutes, he followed her out and found her in the lobby, trying to breathe & recompose herself. He shared in that moment with her, she found comfort in him, and love took root.
And that’s how it began! After a few years of deepening love, endless jokes, and total comfort, a beautiful baby girl was born to them. They named her Reese Noelle, and she is perfection.
But while Courtney was pregnant with her, Trey crafted the sweetest, most incredible proposal I’ve ever heard of! He arranged an experience for her that was more than perfect.

Reese has taught them to appreciate each other in ways they didn’t really notice before. Courtney appreciates Trey’s drive to provide for his family, and he so appreciates everything that she does day-to-day to take care of his babygirl & hold down the fort. In the best way, Reese has slowed them down—Courtney & Trey appreciate life in general, so much more.
A shared vision of their life frames their future of a tight-knit family (with 1 or 2 more Jones babies!), somewhere beautiful, loving life & living fully.
This summer, these lovers are tying the knot in Cancun with immediate family, and a few other guests. What an incredible way to start their journey together as husband & wife!
I am so incredibly blessed & honored to have taken these photos for you three—and trust me when I say there is a TON more on the way for you guys!
Good luck to your sweet family as you all make the move to Indiana & achieve great things—I miss you guys already! <3
