The house is silent with my sleeping babes as I mull over how I should write this announcement post….how I could express the flurry of joy and excitement in the right way…I guess I’ll just hop right to it!
We found out in early February that our family would grow again! It might have been obvious, due to the cobwebs all over my social media profiles, but now that we’re in the clear and feeling great, I’m ready to make a little comeback.
(Can I just say how IMPOSSIBLE it was to get both of the girls happy at once??
I’d be lying if I said I didn’t get super frustrated during this little shoot.)
Nick’s reaction in a word? “YEAH!” Mine: “Wow!” in every possible sense. This new pregnancy, this new baby, brings forth a whirlwind of emotions, questions, and above all and most obviously, joy!
I want to take this opportunity to answer a few questions for all my family, friends, and clients, as well! If I don’t answer yours here, feel free to shoot me an email to Hello@MadelinePaigePhotos.com and I’ll respond as soon as I can :) (And as always, you can call/text me, too!)
The first is about the gender of the baby–we don’t know yet. Once we do, (sometime in May), I’ll write a gender reveal post for everyone :) We’ll be over the moon with either gender, and we already have names chosen for our little jellybean.
The second is about my pregnancies in general. Yes, all pregnancies are different, but this one has been consistent with both of my girls. It’s always been a smooth ride for me, (I just tend to find things to complain about). I keep a relatively active lifestyle with relatively healthy eating habits–I’ve never gained more than 30lbs with a pregnancy. And while this particular pregnancy has blessed me with a severe case of bloating as I enter into the second trimester, it won’t interfere with my ability to serve my clients in a negative way. The only thing my Brides & Grooms will notice about me will be my bump (& maybe a slight waddle for the later ones (: ) pinky promise.
The third is our photo date block. We’re taking the month of October off, as baby #3’s due date is October 17. Isla (our first) came 2 weeks early, and Esme came 1 week late, so your guess is as good as mine for when this new chunk of babylove will make his/her debut into the world. The photo block includes weddings, engagements, and other services. We want to take the month to prepare our home, ourselves, and our girls for the new addition.
Other odds & ends: yes, we have a minivan (we just got a newer Honda Odyssey AND I’M OVER THE MOON!). Yes, we’re considering lumping all 3 birthday parties into one. No, we will not be disappointed in a gender. I haven’t noticed any weird cravings (yet) except maybe I did just polish off a bag of frozen blueberries….haha. We might’ve mistakenly thought we were “done” with the girls, so we sold almost all of our baby gear–so if you’ve got a recommendation for me on a stellar infant carseat, holla @ me!
I’m also super duper excited to have the opportunity to share maternity style & encouragement (along with a funny story or two) for expecting photographers, too!
I just want to take a moment to express how completely grateful, humbled, and thrilled I am for the new life inside me. I’m so excited to bring this sweet little jellybean into the world, I can hardly wait! With all the weddings & work to be done this year, I’m afraid to blink, ’cause it’ll all pass me by! 3 babies in 4 years is going to be, in a nice word, exciting! And I couldn’t be happier to have my guy right alongside me.
And can I just quick say how truly THANKFUL! I am for this man?? He’s the most amazing husband & father…and makes my heart
explode melt daily with all his patience, grace, and servant-heart. I’m so blessed. So, so blessed.
